PHILOTES Ancient Coin necklace with Freshwater Pearl

£120.00

This coin pendant necklace features the pressed relief of an ancient Greek coin minted around 280BC. It is named after Philotes the Greek goddess of friendship and affection and it features the two faces of the Dioscuri twins who were thought to represent the rising and setting of the sun and two branches of a river meeting as one. A little totem to honour the quiet force of good things and connection.

It is intentionally created to feature the melted molten droplets created as the hot coin is pressed in to the wax.

Each pendant is supplied with a freshwater pearl necklace made from reclaimed pearls and with a gold fill link chain and lobster clasp. Adjustable length between 16 and 18 inches.
