This ancient coin necklace features the pressed relief of an ancient Roman coin with the detail of Pegasus in the center.
This special coin is named after the mythical Greek creature Pegasus, There are many stories surrounding Pegasus but my favourite is that he was responsible for the Muses sacred Fountains of Inspiration on Mount Helicon. In a burst of excitement he struck the side of the mountain with his hooves and it caused the natural springs to transform into flowing fountains of inspiration.
I created this little coin pendant to represent freedom, creativity and inspiration, carry it with you and keep it as a reminder that they are never far away.
This tactile coin pendant is intentionally created to feature the melted molten droplets created as the hot coin is pressed into the wax, along with texture left from the makers tools and hands.
One off necklace in Gold plated Brass.
The coin is on a reclaimed freshwater pearl and roman glass bead necklace with Gold fill link chain and lobster clasp. Adjustable length between 16 and 18 inches.
